DISEASES OF THE MIND

The heart is infected when it is compassionate less. When the mind thinks wrong it is infected. And when the brain does the work of the heart, the whole body is prone to irrelevant compromises which will result to serious defect in the normal pattern of life’s chemistry. These possible defects are common in this semi informed world. This world YES is semi informed. So as to say that giving incomplete information consciously is a symptom of this disease. Even the wisest exhibit the most foolish signs in the history. Then imagine what the “certified fools” will do. In reckon of the worlds activities and what I will call failures, THE DISEASES OF THE MIND had contributed at great measures in reducing the world population. Be it massacre, kidnapping, or any other life wasting act, can be attributed to as THE DISEASES OF THE MIND. So the victims of such act will only but be sorry that they were born or wish there were not born at all. But looking at it some other way even these victims had contributed in a way, directly or indirectly to the a fore mentioned topic. WE ALL HAVE. But this certainly is not a reason to die. The Bible made it clear that “all have sinned and gone short the glory of God”. And God out of His infinite mercy still retain this atrocious world which He could have destroyed out of his standard and impartial judgment.
This passage may not make a lot of sense to some people because of its fluctuation. What I am trying to insinuate is that every human being in this world had contributed or will contribute to the degradation of this habitat called earth. The dead of course contributed before they joined the realm of silent. Should we remember Napoleon? Adolph Hitler or even Gadafi of yesterday? Should we discuss about the Apartheid in South Africa? Or the Racism and Nazism of the brutal German government under Hitler? And coming home, what of notorious BOKO HARAM? Yes we have made a list of trespassers but, what about you and me? How much have we contributed? How much infected are we?
In sense of making things right we can only but start with ourselves. Try as much as we can to be ambassadors of positivism. Be good citizens, do what is right neglecting the cost, shun cruelty, eradicate wickedness and greed. And of most importance love God, ourselves and neighbours. That is the best place to start.
In conclusion we should all work together to make up for the past atrocities by not trying to repeat negative history. By Ikemelu Ikechukwu
