I HAVE BEEN THERE by Obele A. Chekwube

I have been to the pinnacles of all spectacles
Climbed the mountains of all fountains
Overcame the ridicules of all obstacles
You saw me sliding while riding
You did not notice I have been there.

I have been to the anatomy of our economy
Resolved the problems of all emblems
Facilitated the roomy of lobotomy
You saw me finalizing while analyzing
You did not notice I have been there.

I have been to the habits of all rabbits
Shaved the hackles of all tickles
Destroyed the kits of all pits
You heard me rumbling while bumbling
You did not notice I have been there.

I have been to the window of our shadow
Tapped the secrets of all miscreants
Engaged the window of meadow
You saw me running while coming
You did not notice I have been there.

I have been to the facades of all cascades
Beaten the limbos of all jumbos
Crossed the arcades of all decades
You saw me dwindling while saddling
You did not notice I have been there.

I have been to the shops of our cups
Drank the bitterness of all progress
Smashed the glasses of classes
You saw me panting while ranting
You did not notice I have been there.
